Power Tool Battery Information
Extending your Power Tool Battery Life:
There are several ways to maximize your power tool’s battery pack life. Make sure the battery pack is fully charged before each use.
Use the battery pack charger and plug it in to a power inverter attached to a car or truck. Charge the batteries whenever possible.
Be efficient when using the power tools and only use them when you are going to start drilling, cutting, etc. Purchase extra power
tool battery packs to increase the amount of power tool usage on site. If a power tool battery pack has been stored for several weeks,
be sure to fully recharge the battery pack before use. Increasing your power tool’s battery life is important, especially when
construction is being done in remote locations with no power outlets.
Charging your Power Tool Battery:
Power tool batteries don’t come fully charged when new and should be 100% charged before use. Power tool batteries that are stored for
extended periods of time will lose their charge and should be fully recharged. If cordless power tools are going to be used for an
extended amount of time, it is a good idea to carry extra battery packs and swap them out when they run low on power. Extra battery
chargers can also be purchased to charge multiple batteries at the same time. Li-Ion power tool batteries typically have a durability
of 300-500+ discharge / charge cycles.
OEM Power Tool Batteries VS Aftermarket:
OEM power tool batteries tend to cost more than an aftermarket power tool battery. eBatts.com offers aftermarket replacement power
tool batteries that have a high capacity output that meets or exceeds OEM power tool battery power specifications. All of our power tool
batteries carry a full 1 year warranty and are 100% OEM compatible. All of our power tool batteries are very rugged and meet UL, CE,
FCC and RoHS electronic standards to ensure safety and high quality.
Power Tool Battery Recycling:
Used power tool batteries can be recycled at any battery store or electronics store. A local recycling center can be contacted to find
out where the nearest battery recycling station is located. Power tool batteries should be recycled and never thrown away in the trash.
Please note that Federal law requires, used Ni-Cd batteries to be managed as Universal Waste (40 CFR Part 273). Disposing of Ni-Cd
batteries must be sent for recycling according to the Universal Waste Rule. Power tool batteries that are not recycled can be damaging
to our environment and should be recycled for disposal.
Be Careful with your Power Tool Battery:
- Avoid dropping or hitting the power tool battery pack. The cell contents in the powertool battery can become damaged and are highly corrosive.
- Do not short-circuit a power tool battery as it may cause damage to both the power tool’s electronics and battery pack.
- Do not expose the power tool battery to water, moisture or extreme heat.
