PDA Tips and Charger Information
Extending your PDA Battery Life:
There are several PDA power saving tips to extend your PDA battery life. Typical battery life of a PDA can vary from a few hours of continuous use to
weeks of powering it on and off. Turning off your PDA will conserve battery power for the times when you actually need it. Avoid using unnecessary PDA
applications as it takes processing power to operate them. Turning down your PDA’s screen brightness and set the backlighting to turn off after 1-2 minutes
will conserve power. Remove any unused devices such as PC cards and memory cards, which can drain PDA power quicker.
Charging your PDA:
New PDA batteries come partially discharged and need to be fully charged before use. Carry an AC adapter or USB charger so PDA charging can be done
at remote locations. Keep your PDA in a cool location so the battery does not get too hot. Some PDA models have optional extended battery packs
available, and these battery packs can add a couple more hours to the PDA battery reserve time. If your PDA battery can’t hold a charge for a few
hours and loses battery power very quickly, it might be time for a new replacement PDA battery pack.
OEM PDA Batteries VS Aftermarket:
OEM PDA batteries typically cost more than an aftermarket PDA battery. EBatts.com carries aftermarket PDA batteries and our batteries may have a
higher power capacity when compared to OEM PDA batteries. Our PDA batteries carry a full one year warranty and are 100% OEM compatible.
Many of our PDA batteries meet high standards including UL, CE, FCC and RoHS certifications for safe and high quality PDA batteries.
Recycling PDA Batteries:
PDA batteries should be recycled and not be thrown away in the trash can. Your local recycling center can be contacted to find out where the
nearest battery recycling station is located. Please note that Federal law requires certain used batteries to be managed as Universal Waste
and should be recycled. PDA batteries should be recycled when disposing them because they can be harmful to our environment.
Be Careful with your PDA Battery:
- Avoid damaging the PDA battery pack by hitting or dropping it. PDA cell contents are highly corrosive and can become damaged.
- Do not expose the PDA battery to water, moisture or hot temperatures.
- Do not short-circuit a PDA battery as it may cause damage to the PDA electronics and PDA battery pack.
