These rechargeable powerpacks are stand-alone battery backup power units that can be used without a wall power source, whether they are being used during an emergency or simply when an AC power supply is unavailable. These portable powerpacks are perfect for road trips, camping and emergency power. The powerpack video tutorials and reviews feature all four products, which include the Powerpack 300, Powerpack 450, Powerpack 600, and PowerSource 1800.
The Powerpack 300, the smallest of the units, can deliver 240 watts of continuous power, up to 300 watts maximum. This unit includes two 120V AC outlets, one 12V DC outlet, car jumper cables with 120 cold cranking amps, an air compressor for inflating tires, and a removable LED flashlight. This is a compact unit that can be stored in the car for emergency use or packed specifically for road trips and travel.
The Powerpack 450 is capable of providing 340 watts of continuous power, up to a maximum of 450 watts. Like its smaller counterpart, the Powerpack 450 comes with two 120V AC outlets and one 12V DC outlet. The car jumper cables are detachable and provide 170 cold cranking amps, and the unit includes a built in air compressor for inflating tires. The Powerpack 450 also has a built-in 5 watt incandescent light on one of its sides, which can stay lit for 12 hours when the battery is fully charged. A Voice Guidance feature is included as well, providing users with on-demand voice instructions and system statuses. The Powerpack 450 was recently featured in a Wall Street Journal article stating that the Powerpack 450, “should be standard-issue for every car owner.”
The Powerpack 600 can deliver twice as much power as the Powerpack 300, providing 480 watts of continuous power, up to a maximum of 600 watts. This unit has three AC outlets, along with a single 12V DC outlet. The car jumper cables provide 250 cold cranking amps and come in their own accessory bag. The built-in 5 watt incandescent light on the front can stay lit for up to 50 hours with a fully charged battery. A front display panel shows the current output power (in watts) and the remaining battery life of the unit. The Powerpack 600 also features an AM/FM radio with digital alarm clock, which has controls for power, volume, hours/minutes, and an external antenna.
The largest of the models, the PowerSource 1800, delivers 1440 watts of continuous power, up to a maximum of 1800 watts. This rugged model is designed as a better alternative to gas-powered generators and includes five AC outlets to plug in numerous electronic devices simultaneously. The display panel is on the top of the PowerSource 1800 and includes a button to view the output power (in watts) and the remaining battery life. Wheels are provided on the rear end for easy portability.
