The new Duracell Powermat will be on display at CES in Las Vegas to demonstrate wireless charging capabilities. Duracell and Powermat have struck a joint venture together to "advance and globalize wireless charging." Powermat has been looking to place their inductive charging systems in the airport, car, kitchen atmospheres and other common areas of daily use. One example is the new General Motors Chevy Volt, which will support the Powermat inductive charging system in the center console.
